aye29 Posted December 30, 2004 Report Share Posted December 30, 2004 Whenever the 5650 hits 100 degrees C, it clocks itself down to prevent overheating. Does anyone know what the lower frequency is? ZZTOP77 Posted December 30, 2004 Report Share Posted December 30, 2004 Hm man It sux :) I use default 3D performace O'C 350/580 MHz The temp. got is around 46-50C in normal web surfing , currently i'm 7 h on my lappy now ( on pix ) When i do play games like Doom3 , Far Cry , COD for few h & is around 70C, but never over 75C !! & i do have Core slowdown threshold set on 130C & i can not change that . ThE NiTz Posted December 30, 2004 Report Share Posted December 30, 2004 shouldnt need a cooling pad to play at stock speeds im having the same prob it seems to go away when i add a bunch of as5 to the cpu heat transfer area and remove the pad dell uses i just dont get y we have this problem do u have a docking bay too? also did u notice that in the 8600c version they closed the left vent port i think it helped the 8500 alot i dont get y they did that to this model Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
