mobileQMaze Posted January 17, 2005 Report Share Posted January 17, 2005 I have been reading some of the posts here, especially the pasta post (hehe) and wondered if there is anything I need to do laptop after a 2 year period of owning. I clean the outside regularly but should I be dismantling and cleaning the CPU, fan etc... It has been running great, does run hot on my lap but runs solid. Bill Posted January 17, 2005 Report Share Posted January 17, 2005 I don't know how confortable you are with taking your laptop apart to clean it, but as for me and my 2 year old laptop, if its not broken, don't fix it. lol Mine does not seem to need much internal cleaning, must not get too much dust where it is, although I did take off a few covers and blew some dust out when I replaced the main HDD in mine, there wasn't much though. 2 years old and still running strong. It is working great and some pieces on this thing look delicate if they are impropely disassembled. I'll leave it till I either come across a good technical manual on taking it apart.
