TV output size

Ever since I replaced Toshiba's XP Home installation with regular XP Pro, 4:3 full screen video on my TV out doesn't fill the screen anymore.

The regular windows desktop looks identical, and has not changed. It fills the entire TV screen's width, and only leaves a little bit of black border on the top and bottom.

4:3 Aspect ratio video was the same way, prior to XP Pro. It filled the whole viewable screen, like the desktop does. But now, there are large black borders on each side of the screen. Note that if I play a video in BSPlayer and set it to resize the video to 16:9, the entire TV width is used, and I get no side borders.

I'm running at 1024x768, secondary display (TV) is full screen device. Tried many versions of 4x.xx and currently running 52.16. All do the same thing.

Why did this change when I reinstalled windows?
