Guest spectre32
Ok well as my info dictates you can clearly see what drivers and such that I am running. As it would be ever so often my laptop LCD turns off. THis mainly comes about when i put it in stanby, hibernate or close the lid. I must wait roughly about 5-10 minuters perform i can power it back up againa ns ee the inital bios screen. After calling dell, they determined it was not hardware but software. Since i updated my system to XP pro and not what dell had put on it, so they won't offer me tech support in that mannor. Any help would be appericated. Thank you for your time. ®®®
Did you fresh install XP Pro or upgraded from Home to XP? A fresh install with slipstreamed ServicePack2 is recommend in any case.
Guest spectre32
Fresh install with SP2 intergrated is what i ran, perhaps i should roll back those drivers and use the new 78.11 drivers that are specificly released by dell. I'll see where that gets me. Can anyone point me in the direction of a step by step process for rolling them back. If i remeber correctly just simply uninstalling them doesn't do it.
