Guest Kaewin Posted October 28, 2005 Report Share Posted October 28, 2005 I have a new XPS gen 2 m170 with a radeon 6800 go ultra and i have been trying driver after driver. The game i am trying to run is Everquest, its a pretty old game and should have no problems, the graphics look great and its not choppy like lag, but everything is moving at about half speed, makeing th game impossible to play. Maybee i have just been using the wrong drivers or there is another problem, but im at a loss any suggestions would be much appreciated. Anyway my brother just got the IXPS Gen2 M170 with the GF 7800 GTX go. Your problem could have to do with the CPU's speedstep, are you sure your processor is not changing speed? You should try locking it at its fastest speed and see if that helps. Also, what drivers are you using for your gf card? And is there a demo for this game. (and do you have problems running the demo) If you have problems running the demo too, please provide me with a link, I might be able to convince my brother to try it out.
