Color Banding Issue

Banding happens when not enough colors are available for display, which can be due to three reasons:

- On laptops, the most frequent source of banding is the LCD screen, many of which are only capable of displaying 18 bit color, not the 24 or 32 but color required to display the full spectrum.

- The second is overcompression on the part of the game and DVD manuracturers.

- The third (and only thing you can control) is to make sure your machine is running in 32 bit color mode, not 16, and that you are using 32 or 24 bit color in your games, if that option is available.
