Infra
Hi all, New to the board; first post. I had a quick question regarding the "Have Disk" installation method for the drivers. I've installed the 84.21's recently. When selecting the device, I don't know which one to select. I see multiple 6800's with the same name. I don't even see the "go" in the device name; it's just GForce 6800 and you see three of them. I selected the last of the three; it seemed to work but I'm not exactly sure what the difference is from the other two identical 6800's in the device driver selection list. Any help is appreciated. sn0wl
Hi, you have to replace the INF inside the driver with the modded INF you download from this site, then install using 'have disk' method.
Infra
Hi, you have to replace the INF inside the driver with the modded INF you download from this site, then install using 'have disk' method. I'm a little confused... Is the modded INF file not included in the original download from this thread? http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/index.php?showtopic=9114 So in order for my 6800 go to use 84.21, I have to click on "Driver" to retrieve the following: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/nvidia/80series/8421.exe Then I have to click on "Modded INF" and replace the INF included in 8421.exe with the following: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/infs/80serie...nf/nv4_disp.inf I think the links are temporarily down though.... I think I've already done this and had the same results (three identical 6800's showing up as my available options when selecting the device). I will try again when the links are back up and running. sn0wl
Yep they are not originally included. Links are working right I just tried them. There must be something wrong with your connection. However here is how to do it - download the driver and run the exe file. It will extract the driver contents in 84.21 folder there. After that download the Modded INF and copy it into 84.21 folder. If you are doing it right, it should ask a replacement confirmation. Do the replacement and follow have-disk method. I think you can also use 'Setup' file there after replacing the INF. Give it a try.
