stutter Posted April 14, 2006 Report Share Posted April 14, 2006 Hi all please can you guys help ive got stuttering problems on games and dvds.Fear is the worst always seems to stutter in the same places even when settings are low.Disableing sound on fear improves things but only a bit.Far cry is better but im getting lines across the screen as well as stuttering.Rome total only does this when picking armys and hlf2 probely plays the best but its still not right.Ive been on tweeks r us and ive had no luck so they sent me to you guys.Ive tried loads of drivers,turned vsyinc on off ,vmr on off,Video and sound are not sharing a irq and theres no probs in debug settings.The computer is only 3 months please can anyone help. Since you seem to know what you are doing... try to downclock your GPU in 3D mode by 20%. If you are facing overheating problems they should go away. Well that is what I expected... usually overheating leads to crashes. Try to disable ALL the crappy apps lying on the traybar. Try disabling antivirus and/or firewall. Ressource hogs such as Norton products. Other than that it smells REINSTALL. If you can throw a couple of *whatever currency applies* on a new HDD. It ease the reinstall...
