piskopanis Posted May 4, 2006 Report Share Posted May 4, 2006 Notebook: Acer Aspire WLMI 1522 GeForce FX Go5700 (64 MB) AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 60 GB HD 1.25 GB RAM Display: 15,4 I have a standard problem with GPU heating. I just cant play 3D games anymore. The GPU temp climbs to 91+ after 5 minutes even playing CSI game (a very low resolution adventure game). I tried everything u suggested and finally last summer my card burned (I ve sent the laptop to Acer for replacement and all). So I am very frightened to choose a new driver to update the installed 77.76 (moded inf). Do you think its safe to choose one of the 80's (if yes which one) or is it safer to downgrade to the default 62.12 that goes with the machine given that games isnt an option for me?
