Inspiron 8200 problem

Hi

I'm new to the forum and I found these drivers today and I installed them (ver. 87.08 with the modded inf files) along with the fix for the 1600x1200 found here

http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/index....wtopic=6686&hl=

After installation I've noticed that when I log in my screen goes black for about 2 seconds and then comes back. Has anyone noticed that or is having the same issue? The screen also goes black for 2 secs if I look at my NVIDIA Display. Is that normal or is there fix?

Kind Regards

André

Normal

Is there a way around it or a fix other than not using the drivers :) ?

Given that you went with a brand new beta driver for your GF4Go... which is based on a GF2 family core. Therefore this driver probably didn't fix or bring anything new to your PC.

So unless you really need the non existing extra feature you'd rather stick with Dell official drivers.

Just turn off the overclocking page and the flashing will go away. (either the first or last tweak)

You can wack Fabrice Roux with a trout if you want now. :)

Also, the 440 go in our machines (well, I used to have one in this machine) has a device ID of 1074, I fixed yours in your profile.

In my point of view changing your driver for a new one that doesn't fix or add new features at the EXPENSE of the loss of PowerMizer capability... IS NOT WORTH IT.

On my laptop PowerMizer allows me to watch 3 one hour episode. of *pick favorite tv show*. With modded drivers I'm stuck with full power which leads to 2 one hour episodes.

ps: 1h episode = 42-43 minutes of actual runtime.
