well im finally gonna do it.. a fresh format with raid 0...

my main question now is which is the latest driver for my intel chipset??

i have a clevo d900t installed (alienware m7700 notebook but my MB was replaced by another company and d900t was installed..basically prostar..).....

i have gone to clevo's site http://www.clevo.com.tw/download/ftpOut.as...e=9&submit=+GO+

which says the latest is V6.0.1.1002

i checked alienwares driver d.l site and they have Chipset Driver 6.3.0.1007-9/28/2005 or Chipset Driver 6.0.1.1002-10/7/2004-( id post the link but its a "customer" d/l section so it wouldnt work if i pasted in..

and over at notebook forums i see 915G Chipset Drivers (v 7.2.2.1007) [07/04/2006](not sure about this 915G??) http://www.notebookforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119628

and finaly at prostar they have Intel Chipset Drivers (Ver. 6.0.1.1002) (same as clevos site and alienwares)

http://www.pro-star.com/index.cfm?mainpage...=9097/D9T-D900T

i dont know which is the best to use??im hoping to install the latest.. :)

thanx all

Goto Intel website and grab the latest drivers from there.

There is a list of Chipsets you can choose from including your one.

Intel are up to v 5.7.1011

There are all sorts of other drivers there as well.

We also keep the drivers over here http://files.laptopvideo2go.com/chipset/

thanx for the reply mate...

my main issue is i dont know which chipset to look for.. :)

i know its a clevo d900t and im using everest to check for more detail but still it goes over my head...

i called alienware (nasty tech support guy i spoke with) and i called widowpc (who replaced my MB-which is basically prostar parts) and they both sugested i just stick with the driver listed on either alienwares site(from the alienware guy) or prostars site (from the widowpc pitcrew)-they both have the same version of driver available..

Intel Chipset Drivers (Ver. 6.0.1.1002)

WIN XP, MCE2005 IntelChipset_6011002.zip 2,691.37 KB

2004-11-08 03:47:40

they both claimed that this driver is the best choice because it has been tested and is fully working..no complaints there but i was thinking by now they would have had a newer version out since this driver is from back in 2004 ......

any ideas guys??

thanx
