Ice-Tea
Quanta has a nasty habbit of locking their cards. I pretty much gave up on them.
Fabrice Roux
It looks like MXM. It smells like MXM. It feels like MXM. It tastes like MXM. It sounds like MXM. ... but my 6th sense tells me that it behaves like cr@p.

Donphilipe
i got the card from ebay.de but now i have a big problem with my notebook ~_~ with the new card the cooling fan don´t start to work when the cpu get hot the fan only blow when the gpu is to hot when i start e.g. prime95 my notebook turns off by overheating! when i put the 66er go into the book is all ok, the fan is spinning when the cpu get hot and all is fine this is a dammed problem -.-
Ice-Tea
Interesting... For the Fujitsu line of notebooks, a hardware reset makes the fan work. It`s detaching battery, power and all other devices, holding the power button for 10 seconds, plug everything back and restart the notebook. Boot into bios and restore defaults. I don`t know if this works for Quanta books. If it doesn`t, check out the Notebook Hardware Control ACPI control. It`s a hack, but it works. Donphilipe
The Problem is: At standart Installation NHC is not configurate for my system and i have no idea where i get an ACPI Table for my system btw: in NHC the temps sensor say´s nonsence: 0°-35°C -.- when my book works ~5min with idle Cpu, the temperature of the Gpu is enought high that the fan start´s to blow. But i didn´t trust the fan control of the nvidia driver. :/ Edited January 10, 2007 by Donphilipe
