Guest Guest
Performance? Btw mobilenvidia, you are on a role over the past 2 days!
Guest Guest
Are those drivers only for 'Clevo' Computers ?
Guest Covert
Branded drivers work on all computers with modded infs. They are initially only for clevo, but they can be universally used.
Guest quubik
horrible drivers! my 3dmark06 score reduced about 100 points :)
RangerXML
Don't use 06 anymore for Vista, use Vantage. 3DMark 06 hasn't given me a reliable score in ages and the 17x.xx series is only BETA. The real question is, how does it preform in game?
Guest quubik
Vantage isn't out yet
RangerXML
Funny considering its up on the same website that GPUz is. Its I believe still a BETA and doesn't have the cool space ship battles, but it works.
Guest Murderklok
I'm thinking about making the switch to Vista soon. Anyone tried these with 8x00 series? I have a XPS M1730 with 8700M GT SLi. Anyone tried Crysis performance?
Guest Araghius
Evening! Great performance on my Dell XPS M1710 while playing World of Warcraft and Crysis. Dont have a 3Dmark score for you guys, but i saw some big improvements in Crysis, so i guess these drivers arent bad at'll Araghius
whitetigerx7
These are currently being downloaded for testing for HP/Compaq/VoodooPC systems. If testing goes successful the INF I publish for HP/Compaq/VoodooPC systems will be updated to mirror this release. I will report back with my findings. anonymous1986
Seems to be working well so far with UT3 and annoying firefox bug in last drivers 171 & 169.28 seems to have been solved.
whitetigerx7
So far my tests got these results (be minded these are effected by CPU or GPU limitation) Windows Experience Rating: 3.0 (unchanged) 3DMark2003 Bench Score: 1062 (a loss of 4 points from prior drivers but unnoticeable) General usage performance will stretch 3 days do determine long term gaming and stability with the system. Results will be announced then.

andygb40
Works wonders to my temperature during gameplay. I've dropped from 100C to 87C. Very good drivers that haven't changed the performance up or down but seem to be much more stable/suited to my laptop.
Ezor
My temperature also dropped to 100°C from 80°C and performance seems still the same. Goke, overclocking with ? Rivatuner ? nTune ?

goke
ntune...doesn't overclock on statup
whitetigerx7
nTune changed the clock when you have the profile setup to change the clock. You can program it to set the clock up when Windows is loaded or when you play a certain game or use an application. It's possibly the best way to overclock such as the previous Automatic Overclocking feature that was used on a few 5x00 and 6x00 cards for a while that only overclocked when the GPU started to have frame rate issues and needed the extra power. Guest Jason
Why on earth can't i overclock my GPU? I have a HP DV6543TX with a "8400 GS" in it. I run Windows Vista 32bit with 4 GIG of ram and im using these 173.65 drivers at present. I run 4GIG in a windows 32bit enviroment because this laptop allocates the excess ram that 32bit operating systems cant use to the video card via the bios, so effectively my video card has 1.4gig of ram. Anyway, thats not the issue, because before i had the 4gig of ram, it was the exact same problem happening. I have used about 10 drivers off here and elsewhere and none overclock? As soon as i go into untune or video card properties and udjust clock settings for either ram of GPU, as soon as i hit apply, they return to default clock speed. 400mhz clock speeds. I have seen the problem here and on other forums before, same thing happening to other people, but an earlier driver "did" overclock ok, but they were really really old drivers, about a year old - thats not good. Why does it always reset to default? Ived used ATi tool etc aswell, same thing? Love to get advice on this eh.
Guest Guest
Did you restart after the driver AND the ntune installation?
ScuttleRX
Impressed with the Crysis performance with this driver, very good :) Itunes cover art quick aswell... Bit of a noob question, but whats the easiest way to see GPU temperatures, thought it was going to be on Ntune somewhere but the temperature section is blank. nightwolf314
these drivers still dont solve the tv out problem for me. I use s-video cable to connect directly to my analog tv. the dell 158.18 drivers work fine with the tv out. But since they were slow, i updated the drivers. ever since, i have no tv out. the tv flickers for a second. and the picture turns black again. i checked the pal/ntsc settings too. still no luck. when i go back to 158.18, tv starts working again. can any1 tell me how to solve the problem with the new drivers? i tried all the drivers after 158.18. appreciated!
