mobilenvidia
Seeing I downloaded it to get 185.93 may as well give it a spin. Just updating to this now as I write this. So will give my opinion in the morning when hopefully it's all installed. (took forever with build 7137) So what are your thoughts on this build ? Did I waste my time ? All installed, task bar is back to previous RC version colour. Build in MS sound driver, now has very audible pop when first sound is played, obvious powersaving issues at play here. blazpristy
This one has piracy spell on it...i was back to RC 7100. Yes you can register with RC key but this is not it...it runs the same as Vista from mininova does. bb10
Did I waste my time ? With "upgrading"? Yes. With installing 7201? No.
FadeToBlack
I have it installed since a few days ago and I can say I don't really notice anything. My sound keeps disabling itself and everything hangs because of that. Other than that everything is OK.
Guest clpdj
dont upgrade, do a clean install... upgrade makes your OS all crazy and performance will be even worse that no upgrading from a old build at all... the build 7137 is really good but 7210 i dont know since im waiting for 7225... Sorry my band english m8's btw:im from portugal lol
Guest mate
Doing a clean install is the way to go, but doing upgrade... Sheesh... Who ever thought of upgrading from build to build? Well, IMO upgrading is not useless, but a waste of time and performance. This new 7201 build is running just like the RC 7100 without some annoyances. This is like a bugless re-release of the original RC... That's the case, obviously, since they won't add any more dramatical changes to the OS. It's alredy post-RC. Oh, BTW the installation seems to be a little bit faster.
Soor
Yeah, the changes between builds are all bugfixes, and at this point its probably nearly all back-end stuff too. I still upgrade builds, but I've stopped looking for the difference - if you're not experiencing a specific bug that gets fixed, you won't notice a diffrence. Guest Parnn
I am using RC1 and the sound just stopped working and freezing up the system. Has 7201 fixed that?

Phnx
I'm just thinking about imaging my drive (which has had 7000 -> 7048 -> 7057 -> 7068 -> 7077 -> 7100 -> 7137 all upgraded) in order to do a clean install of 7201... Guest Guest
re-run WEI scoring in 7201.you'd be surprised in the graphics departments. backup much faster in 7201. upgrade from previous builds 7077+ should be perfectly ok.

mobilenvidia
Grrr, this build breaks Firefox, continually have to login to pages now with this build. Both 3.0.10 and 3.5b4 are doing it.

mobilenvidia
No obvious changes. these weekly build will just be fixing bugs, got to get as many bugs foxed before 22nd October release, or SP1 may have to come out sooner than hoped :)
Shakey_Jake33
It's probably best to stick with Microsoft-supported builds of Windows 7 unless you're curious. Most applications and drivers are being made with the 7100 RC in mind. Of course, no hard in having a quick mess on a non-critical system. FadeToBlack
There is absolutely no reason for something to malfunction with another build than RC.
