®®®
:: UPDATES :: DETAILS v61.21 desktop driver for 2K.XP, filedate 14.05.2004 (?), leaked 04.06.2004 MultiLanguage, Setup included, WHQL released by Leadtek & ASUS :: OPEN ISSUES :: ISSUES RESOLVED - nView problem with Notepad & Outlook Express has been fixed :: OPINION [*by LSudlow] No real change... 61.21 performs virtually the same as 61.12 while (presumably) fixing some bugs. The tiny drop in scores isn't significant and may just be due to whatever was happening in the background on my laptop during the test. Since my previous 61.12 benchmark, I've installed the Dell Inspiron 5150's new A34 BIOS and DirectX 9.0c. I don't know what the performance impact, if any, might be. I might go back and rerun some earlier versions to see how they compare, but I suspect there's no real performance impact from either change. I've noticed one visual flaw with both 61.12 and 61.21. Years ago there was a problem called "mouse droppings" where moving the mouse cursor around the screen would leave small lines or individual dark pixels behind. Now, when scrolling web pages, I'm seeing something very similar, where the browser's border occasionally leaves small lines on the text as the page scrolls up and down. It's almost certainly a driver glitch and, since I've never seen it reported, I'd like to find out if it's a bug or if it's due to one of my tweaks. It's very rare so don't waste time looking for it. But if you do spot it, I'd be interested in hearing. Thanks! :: BENCHMARK [*by LSudlow] Driver.....3DMark01.....3DMark03 53.03........6963.........1335 53.04........6965.........1332 53.06........6976.........1333 53.30........6940.........1335 53.81........6943.........1337 54.01........6833.........1307 56.55........6744.........1306 56.56........6731.........1304 56.64........6661.........1277 56.72........6822.........1308 56.82........6591.........1271 58.21........6803.........1308 60.60........6536.........1190 60.72........6826.........1253 60.80........6484.........1186 61.11........6446.........1186 61.12........6639.........1215 61.21........6620.........1213 These results can be discussed in the Benchmark Section of the Forum over HERE. ®®®
Tested with Pieters INF 20.59 and Notepad issue with activated nView is gone. 3DMARK03 252 points (54.01 had 265 & 56.xx 260). Have no comparison to the other 60.xx though. Installed without the Standby Fix: Standby (initiated through START, Turn off PC, Standby) both on battery and DC works, also LidClosing-Standby and LidOpening-Wakeup works. Guest LUMA
Dear Sir. Congratulations for your excellent job! Two years waiting for a Toshiba driver update and you can imagine the frustration about. Ok. I found your site and now the case: I have installed the 6121 driver with 20.60 modified inf. Everything seems to works find but, at boot time, i have a GREEN screen, then a black one and finally, the welcome screen. All the settings are available and seems to be Ok. My question is, how i can be sure that everything is Ok? ( too much rumors about the frecuencies, temperature control, inverter control, etc. etc. etc.). The image quality and the display speed reflects that the driver is working and again, congratulations, but i need to be sure about what i'm doing. Some data: Toshiba 3000, s353 (Compal), PIII 900, 512 RAM, 20Gb HD, CD/DVD GeForce2 Go 16 Mb BIOS 3.11.01.42.07 AGP 4x Chip Rev B2 Best and kinds regards, Luis Mavilla P.S. mobilenvidia
I get a green screen as well as Windows boots up. I havn't seen any problems with this. These drivers are beta, nVidia will probably release a fix for this shortly. You have some catching up to do, with 2 year old drivers. Enjoy, Pieter. Guest LUMA
Pieter, Thank you for your time and response. Ok... i can live with this... may be i'll try with another driver (only for curiosity). What i found that is a really problem is this: I use a dedicated multimedia software (from Scala) to develop training applications. This software change the screen resolution on the fly at playback time depending on the developed application resolution. The playback is allways at fullscreen. When I have the screen resolution at 1024x768 and the resolution changes to any combination below (800x600 for example) the application goes to the taskbar and stop. If i change (manually) to 800x600 (again, for example) everything is find. Remember the green screen, it is present during the resolution change attempt. May be a player conflict or an issue with the driver's beta condition, i don't know... Any idea? Best and kinds regards, Luis Mavilla P.S. mobilenvidia
For what your doing go back in drivers, the green screen started with the 60's. Just try an older driver, 56.72 is a good start. Enjoy and get back to us on how you got on. Pieter
