Hi, any suggestion for lenovo ideapad S340 with realtek FMAPO and Dolby software integration ? I stay at the moment so: Realtek 6.0.8720.1 by Microsoft.
Outdated driver of course. Alanfox2000 repository closed so I'm unable to find something compatible and valid.

Hardware ID of laptop as follows:

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0257&SUBSYS_17AA381E&REV_1000
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0257&SUBSYS_17AA381E

Thanks in advance for yours help.

HWID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0257&SUBSYS_17AA381E" seems to be listed in the HDXHAPLenovo.inf file of a Realtek UAD driver

so far, hard to find newer UAD drivers w/ FMAPO + Dolby from Lenovo with the HDXHAPLenovo.inf file included
edit - however I did find this 6.0.8794.1 UAD driver from Lenovo that does include that HDXHAPLenovo.inf file but nothing newer than 8794

but also maybe contact Lenovo support and ask them when they will release a newer Realtek audio driver for your ideapad S340 (there are several versions of ideapad S340s like S340-14API, S340-15IML, S340-14IWL, S340-15IWL, etc that I don't know what "specific" S340 model you have) that would be compatible with the upcoming Win10 version 2004/20H1 release - or ask in their support forum

meanwhile

Realtek HD Audio Driver 6.0.8911.1 WHQL (HP/Compaq systems only; HDA FF04) - not generic

Thank you "erp-ster7n" for your support... I'll try to contact Lenovo support team but I think will be useless.
I tried latest HP driver on my other notebook, did you remember? The new drivers are right so now I have updated HP realtek driver on my laptop.

you're welcome.

speaking of HP, I have an old HP pavilion desktop PC that I mainly use which uses legacy HDA (non-UAD) drivers (either FF00 or FF04) and the latest ones from HP are 8911 FF04 and 8924 FF00

continue to use the 6.0.8896.1 UAD driver on your HP 15s-eq0013nl laptop.  although there is a v6.0.8899.1 UAD driver available from the sp101828 package, that one may not work on your HP laptop [and that package is a whopping 823Mb because it bundled a bunch of Intel HDA SST drivers which made the pack much more bloated than normal - and sp101828 is for certain HP AIO desktop PCs, not for HP laptops].  no new UAD drivers from HP higher than 8899 have been released - at least until Win10 2004/20H1 would become available to the general public either in mid-May or June

that's correct lucageo.  no new Lenovo based Realtek UAD drivers so far - at least that are compatible for your S340 model (which you still were not fully specific on that one as there are several ideapad S340 versions that I mentioned about a week ago)
you probably won't see any new ones until after the release of Win10 version 2004/20H1 in mid-May

My ID hardware seem not to be supported on Realtek 6.0.8911.1 driver from MS Update catalog (ID is not listed)
HWID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0257&SUBSYS_17AA381E" of my Lenovo Laptop model (Ideapad S340 - 15API)
so I'll wait new drivers versions. 😕

version 6.0.8904.1 UAD from Lenovo (includes only HDXLV.inf file - not supported on ideapad S340, sorry lucageo this won't work on there - sucks doesn't it?  must wait longer...maybe until after Win10 May 2020 update comes out in mid-May; come back next month)

btw, 8911 from MS Update has both HDA and UAD drivers

Hi my friend

Thanks a lot for your info

OK i installed it now and seems OK for my laptop and again thanks in advance

but when i attempt to install sonic suite 3 it says that your device isn't supported and is there any other versions to install ?

i searched a lot in you tube there was a guy that modded realtek driver and installed the modded one and the nahimic 3 software worked for him and i done the things he told it worked for me too but the driver he just modded wasn't capable for my laptop ( my lap has 2 stereo 2W and a 4W bass speakers ) it separated stereo stereo speakers from bass

the link :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tuvNfujnWQ

so whats your opinion on my problem ?

what software do you prefer ?

thanks for your answers

and again my laptop specs :

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0668&SUBSYS_104313F0&REV_1000
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0668&SUBSYS_104313F0

asus rog g752vsk

I'm sorry for not responding sooner Siderwar13 because I was helping other people like lucageo find a newer driver for his lenovo laptop.

Do NOT use modded Realtek audio drivers of any kind - they're sometimes more trouble than un-modded ones.
you will be completely on your own if you do.  therefore I don't encourage people to use such modded drivers.

Use the 6.0.8858.1 FF03 HDA ASUS driver, but install compatible Sonic Studio 2 & Sonic Radar 2 apps mentioned here in this ASUS ROG forum thread.  It looks like the Sonic Studio 3 apps may not work for your G752VSK laptop and does require Sonic Studio v2.
I was gonna ask MoKiChU myself on what Realtek audio drivers to use but he only specializes in HDA/UAD drivers on ASUS ROG desktop motherboards, not ROG laptops.

why are you using the 8746 version and not the 8858 FF03 version I suggested?
8858 FF03 Asus version fixes a security vulnerability found in 8816 FF03, 8746 FF03 & older FF03 based HDA drivers - see Realtek HDA driver vulnerability report from Realtek web site posted 1/16/2020.  although Asus has an 8858 FF00 version, that one doesn't work on your laptop & breaks sonic apps.
so you should use 8858 FF03 version until Asus makes a newer FF03 HDA version available on their web site which could take months.

there is NO 8924 HDA driver version for Asus.  the generic 8924 FF00 HDA driver will cause all your sonic apps to stop working - don't use it.
perhaps you should contact ASUS yourself and ask them if they'll release a new FF03 Realtek HDA driver for your laptop.
OR post in the ROG Asus forums and ask MoKiChU since he's recently active there again.  we're done here...for now

yeah, none from them for Ideapad S340-15API (sucks doesn't it?)
maybe post in Lenovo forums and tell people there about a lack of a new realtek uad driver for S340
there was an 8904 UAD Lenovo driver I mentioned in late April but again it's incompatible with your S340

if Lenovo does not release any new ones by end of May (between May 29 to May 31 or when Win10 v2004 is publicly released), I could take matters into my own hands and consider making a custom UAD driver pack based on either 8923, 8924 UAD or higher driver version from MS update catalog that will also have updated Dolby and Forte components for you to try out

@lucageo: I also found this 6.0.8838.1 UAD driver from Lenovo a few weeks ago that does include that important HDXHAPLenovo.inf file (found it thru the driveridentifier.com site somewhere there) but as with Lenovo 8794 uad, missing dax3_ext_rtk_lenovo_cn.inf extension file for Dolby uwp integration - so 8794 & 8838 will be "partial" installs and not 100%.  maybe install either 8794 uad or 8838 uad on top of full 8720 uad version to maintain dolby & forte [Lenovo is currently either very busy or lazy to provide driver updates for s340]
