Realtek created these recent customized HDA drivers for certain Dell computers w/ Realtek audio + Waves Maxxaudio enhancement (credit to alanfox2000 for obtaining these from Realtek's "secret" server):

v6.0.8821.1 PG474 WHQL HDA + Intel SST + Waves Maxxaudio [includes Intel HDA SST bus driver, Waves Maxxaudio apps, Realtek ASIO DLLs and 8821 Realtek HDA drivers with HDAADC.inf, HDAADCMAX8.inf, HDXADC.inf, HDXADCMAX8.inf & HDXADCMAX8S.inf files = these special INF files are not packaged in any generic HDA FFxx driver, not even with FF06]

v6.0.8809.1 PG474 WHQL HDA + Intel SST + Waves Maxxaudio [includes Intel HDA SST bus driver, Waves Maxxaudio apps, Realtek ASIO DLLs and 8809 Realtek HDA drivers with HDAMA7.inf, HDXMA7.inf & HDXSSMA7.inf files]

If LSudlow is out there using his Dell XPS 9560 laptop, maybe he could try out this customized 8809 HDA + Maxxaudio driver pack

unfortunately while this 8827.1 uad driver pack supports many OEMs, it is not fully "generic" as the HDXRT.inf, HDXRTSST.inf & HDX_GenericExt_RTK.inf files are missing.

That 8827.1 unofficial UAD by pal1000 on github is actually 8824.1.

The generic INFs no longer exist on 8825.1 and later version driver.

8824.1 and earlier only need to match the Vender & Device ID in order to install
e.g. HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_1220&SUBSYS_1458355D
8825.1 and later must Vender & Device & SubVender & SubSystem ID in order to install
e.g. HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_1220&SUBSYS_1458355D

I have downloaded multiple OEM package and search the below file unicode in hdxrt.cat & hdxrtext.cat with winhex. Do not found the file information in the .cat file

Generic INF
File Name : Unicode
hdxrt.inf : 680064007800720074002E0069006E006600
hdxrtsst.inf : 680064007800720074007300730074002E0069006E006600
hdx_genericext_rtk.inf : 6800640078005F00670065006E0065007200690063006500780074005F00720074006B002E0069006E006600

If you download HP release like 8825.1, inside the file you found a folder call 8825.1_HDA_UAD_Win10_RS3_RS4_RS5_19H1_X64_WHQL, but include not all the INF.
I believe there is a file called 8825.1_HDA_UAD_Win10_RS3_RS4_RS5_19H1_X64_WHQL.zip in Realtek Intranet.

If someone know how to get access to generic UAD (so I don't need to find a latest version of each INF by unzip many OEM packages then post on realtek-universal-audio-driver github repository), please send a private message to me.

@alanfox2000: maybe send stasio a PM to see if Realtek made a 8825.1_HDA_UAD_Win10_RS3_RS4_RS5_19H1_X64_WHQL.zip package; even if it exists it may not come nor include the hdxrt.inf & hdxrtsst.inf files since they no longer pass whql certification - that's why those two files are no longer mentioned in the hdxrt.cat signature file from 8825 & later

use latest FF03 Realtek HDA driver , Siderwar13 (FF03 = Nahimic).  get v6.0.8816 FF03 HDA driver from here.
ASUS ROG G752VS/G752VSK laptops use Sonic Studio & Sonic Radar / Nahimic audio enhancement as noted in the specs on the Asus web site
After installing latest FF03 driver, install latest available Sonic Studio / Radar apps from here (link points to the Rog Asus forums "Realtek HDA audio" topic).

Edit: btw, HWID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0668&SUBSYS_104313F0" is mentioned in the "HDXAsNahi.inf" file of the HDA driver (noted by the driverpack solution site)

Is there a way to install a more recent version of realtek driver and dolby atmos on Matebook D? The driver I have installed is from about a year ago.

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0256&SUBSYS_19E53207&REV_1000

I'm sorry if this is a simple question I am having a hard time figuring all this out.

@goroflack:

try this "repacked" v6.0.8827.1 UAD driver I made (includes HDXHuawei.inf file which mentions HWID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0256&SUBSYS_19E53207" and many other INF files - no dolby atmos integration though).  use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to remove existing or older Realtek UAD drivers, reboot and clean-install the repacked 8827 UAD driver.

for installing an updated Dolby Atmos SWC component driver, ask alanfox2000 (or download the updated Dolby Atmos component files from his UAD Dolby repository, then download & install the Dolby Atmos app from the MS store)

UAD "Huawei" specific Realtek audio drivers rarely made so expect very few updates

Hi everyone.

could someone point me in the right direction on which driver to use/try for the following:
Device HWID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0298&SUBSYS_1A581000&REV_1001
Audio CODEC: ALC298

It´s a Razer Blade Stealth (early 2019) Ultrabook and I´m experiencing crackling noise as well as a very high DPC latency.
This is also using/supporting Dolby Atmos (driver and Windows Store App)

Tried several drivers already to no avail (Razer supplied driver, Realtek 2.73, 2.72 and 2.82)

Thanks in advance!

Don't use any of the older R2.7x & R2.82 releases, Tetsu0SH1ma.  those are for OLD computers only [desktop/laptop PCs from early 2017 & older) and you are using a 2019 Razer model.

Your computer requires Realtek UAD drivers.  The R2.7x/R2.8x releases are non-UAD or legacy HDA drivers that are not compatible with your machine.

try using the v6.0.8827.1 Realtek UAD driver from github.  ask alanfox2000 on how to install this version on your computer.

Thanks so much erp-ster7n!

Yeah i will definitely need some kind of instructions.
Do i just install via the setup in the other folder or do i  follow the installation manual found in the Wiki of this github? 🙂

EDIT:
So i just installed the driver by the method described in the github wiki. Installaton was well explained and went fine.
But, i was unable to download the third party Dolby resources. The Downgit page always reports "Error! Server failure or wrong URL".
Also tried different browsers to no avail.
So, naturally my Dolby Atmos App is now not working and telling me it´s missing it´s driver.

what is the hardware ID number of the Realtek High Definition Audio device on the ASUS FX553VD laptop, SupremeMaster?
use this site to gather that info before we can recommend using either 8858 FF00 or FF03 HDA driver as they only work for certain ASUS motherboards & laptops

reminder: new HDA FFxx driver releases are becoming less frequent than UAD driver releases (that's because many manufacturers chose to implement Realtek UAD drivers on many modern computers than HDA drivers)

as a backup plan, Tetsu0Sh1ma, you might be better off installing the Dolby Atmos UWP app from this Razer support page for your laptop.
maybe even contact Razer support for assistance on installing both the Realtek UAD driver and the Dolby Atmos UWP program.

Can you also show where you exactly check if my hardware id matches with some line in driver text ? Or how you identify if it can work for me or not.

I looked up that hardware ID on the Driverpack solution site (drp.su) and it's listed in the HDXRT4ICE.inf file - install & use the v6.0.8858.1 FF00 HDA driver, SupremeMaster.
Do not use the 8858 FF03 HDA driver - 8858 FF03 Asus HDA driver only includes HDXAsNahi.inf file which only supports few select ASUS motherboards & laptops that have Sonic Studio 3 / Sonic Radar 3 audio enhancer software pre-installed.

Edit: My friend's Asus M5A78L-M LE/USB3 motherboard uses Realtek ALC887 audio device with hardware ID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0887&SUBSYS_10438576", which that ID is listed in the HDXRT4.inf file, so I have to use the latest FF00 HDA driver.
