Guest bodycount Posted October 22, 2008 Report Share Posted October 22, 2008 Hi rune, Maybe you're interested in an ati x1800 mxm III (256 bit memory interface) - it's from mxm-upgrade.com and only 4 weeks old!!! I'm using it currently with my Amilo a1667g model but it should also work perfectly with your Amilo (perhaps you have to work on your heatpipe but with a Dremel it's possible to everybody)! I can offer this because I bought a new notebook and therefore I don't need that graphical power for internet using etc. with the a1667g anymore! I'd like to upgrade this to the nVidia Quadro FX 1600M (which is used in the HP 8710w laptop). It's a fantastic notebook with a performing GPU, The NVidia 8800m gts. I'd like to try to substitute it with a newer one: i thought to the 8800m gtx or to 9800m gts. All preloaded with Acer BIOS, the 8600m GT is tested and works in the following machines: Compatible laptop models： ACER ASPIRE: 4520G/4710G/4720G/4930G/5520G/5710G/5720G/5920G/7520G/7720G etc. most models have MXM slots.
