How would you feel about benching a x1800? :)

Well, with Amilo I'd guess very fast black screen :)

You could test if this gives boost to your 84.56 - the 84.56 tweakerizer.

For me it gave.

91.28 added - fastest on 3DMark06 so far; older benchies not too convincing.

added tweakerized 91.28 benchies - speedup again. But overclocks not as well as earlier versions.

Hi guys!

I have a Amilo M3438G with a GeForce Go 6800.

I am only getting 2982 on 3Dmark05 (1440x900 with 2xAA).

GPU Info:

No OC,

Nvidia 8.4.2.5 with modded INF file (from these forums)

flashed GPU BIOS from .39 to .60

General Info:

2.0 GHz Pentium D

1 GB RAM

Latest drivers for LAN/Wireless/RAID

WinXP Pro /w updates

Background services:

Standard stuff +

AVG Zonealarm

Any idea on how I can improve my score to something like 3800?

I tought you were playing dumb... but given that you spilled such a long post... it's kinda scary. :)

Run the benchmark in it's default resolution without ressources hogs such as FSAA.

Do you REALLY think you'll get the same result when running the benchmark at 800x600 and 1600x1200? (4 times more pixels) Keep in mind that benchmarks are not meant to do pissing contests... if you want to do pissing contest at least do an apple to apple comparison.

As the default what normally is used is 1024x768 and your 1440x900 puts 60% more strain,

I have no idea what the "normal" result is. Perhaps some eerie has done it in Futuremark ORB?

Oh, so your benchies use 1024x768 without AA. I was under the impression that you were using 1440x900. :P

No I don't think the benchmarks scores would be the same, I was under the impression that zipper was using 1440x900.

And I perfectly know that benchmarking isn't a pissing contest. :) The Amilo Amilo M3438G has a history of needing mods/hack (flashing gpu ROM, hacked INF files) to get it to perform normally. I wanted to make sure that I did not miss out any of the additional steps required to get the 'real performance' from my machine. I am not a regular here, so I had no idea that zipper was using 1024x768, otherwise I would have never asked what I asked. There was no need to get pissed off, a simple "zipper is using 1024x768" would be sufficient.
